Also, the book of Joshua contains one of my favorite verses in the Bible, “…choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,… But as for me and my house, we will serve Adonai.” I don’t see this as a once-for-a-lifetime choice. I see it as a daily choice we make to ward off the attacks from the Deceiver.
