The gospels as they appear in the reading schedule:

https://thebibleproject.com/explore/john/ (8:45, part 1; 8:32, part 2)

https://thebibleproject.com/explore/luke/ (8:17, part 1; 7:48, part 2)

https://thebibleproject.com/explore/matthew/ (8:17, part 1; 7:10, part 2)

https://thebibleproject.com/explore/mark/ (9:32) I encourage you to also watch the first video on the page this link takes you to (it’s 5:32 long, has “Book” in the top left corner), but the one that goes with the poster is the second video. Just so you’re not confused.

The first five books of (what’s known as) the New Testament are Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts. The reason I say “what’s known as” the Old and New Testaments is that when you add everything up, it becomes clear that the Old Testament continues through the gospels and into the book of Acts. I’ll show this to you as we read through the gospels for the next 46 days. And then I’ll show you the shift in the book of Acts. Seeing this shift answers so many questions and does away with so many supposed contradictions, I think you’ll just love it!

Get yourself ready for the wild ride through the gospels!

Esther and Malachi

… bring us to the end of what’s known as the Old Testament.

My post for the One Year Chronological Bible Reading Plan, Part 12 is going to be PACKED full of stuff! It’ll have your October reading schedule, video links for the Bible Project’s New Testament Overview, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and some informational commentary from yours truly about what’s going on in the first five books of what’s known as the New Testament. It’s fabulously fascinating, in my opinion! Stay tuned…

Obadiah, Ezra, Haggai, and Zechariah

We’re reading one book a day for four days! Practically a marathon, haha! These books of the Bible are rich in context despite their shortness. Enjoy!

https://thebibleproject.com/explore/ezra-nehemiah/ (8:37) We start Nehemiah on Monday the 23rd, but it’s included with Ezra because that’s how The Bible Project presents it.

Next week I’ll post Esther and Malachi which will finish off this month as well as what’s commonly known as the Old Testament. October’s reading schedule will be a separate post at the end of this month and it’ll be presented just like I’ve done in previous months. In the email subscribers get, I’ll have all the readings set up to flow smoothly, so if you’d like to get the daily emails, subscribe now.

I’ll be back next week!
